Rebounded: Campus Tour Landmarks define one’s memory and sense of belonging to a place. What is your memory lane of HKBU composed of? Get to know more about HKBU’s bright and up-and-coming developments and join our campus tours featuring two routes, each of which focusing on one of the major areas the University is booming: Chinese medicine (route 1) and art-tech (route 2). On top of the specific focus, all routes cover BU’s important landmarks that contribute to alumni’s memory as well as significant new infrastructures that shed light on the University’s strategic developments. They include the Chapel, AC Hall, the BU Bridge, TriAngle (HKBU’s efforts to develop social innovation), and BU Market (our University’s convictions for inclusion and diversity), among others. Some of these spots are newly added to this year’s campus tour – come join us!

Highlights of the tours:
  • Dr. & Mrs. Hung Hin Shiu Museum of Chinese Medicine (route 1), where the long-standing development, history, and stories of traditional Chinese medicine in Hong Kong are exhibited. Come to know more about HKBU’s contribution to the study of Chinese medicine.
  • Visualisation Research Centre (route 2), home to the world’s first 360-degree immersive LED Visualisation Cinema and 180-degree iDome Cinema. Have you ever imagined witnessing various wonders of the world simply by putting on a pair of specially designed glasses? Are you eager to learn more about how technology enhances art enjoyment by stepping into immersive, augmented realities? This newly established Centre will be your dream destination. The Centre is not open to public – don’t miss the visit!

ONLY registrations from alumni are accepted, and alumni can enrol in only one of the four tours.

Alumni Investiture Ceremony
Alumni graduated in 1963, 1968, 1973, 1978, 1983, 1988, 1993 and 1998 will be presented medals to recognise their contributions to alma mater and society.

Grand Reunion Dinner Grasp the opportunity to join the first Grand Reunion Dinner after the pandemic. Priced at $380 per head, the Dinner features a buffet, performances from alumni and students, a joyful chorus – and more. It will also be the golden opportunity to get updates and information about HKBU’s recent developments and accomplishments. Join us with your fellow classmates and enjoy a joyous night together with uplifted spirits and brightened smiles at the dinner!

Second Worldwide HKBU Communication Alumni Conference Following the success of the First Worldwide Communication Alumni Conference in 2022, this year’s conference features a panel consisting of experts in ChatGPT, data journalism, social media strategies, visual communication, etc. Professionals from the industry and academic representatives from the School of Communication will join hands to provide attendees with insights and latest trends in social media and the communications sector.

  6. Alumni who are not in Hong Kong can also join online and engage in cross-border exchanges! As one of the highlight events under Homecoming 2023, the Conference will give priority to alumni of the School of Communication.
