Updates to Personal Information Collection

In light of the amendments to the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, the Alumni Affairs Office (AAO) has updated our arrangement on personal data collection as follows:

To facilitate our alumni to stay connected with HKBU (the University) and informed of the latest news of the university, please note that we will continue to deliver information including any events and functions to be held, courses to be organized, solicitation of donations, discount, offers and other alumni affairs related activities to you personally through various communication channels by using your personal data maintained in the database of the University. Such personal data includes contact information (including your email address, correspondence address, business address, mobile phone number, telephone number and fax number), graduation information (including your graduation year, graduation field etc.) and donation records. Your data may be shared with appropriate parties and personnel of the University for administration, communications and other related purposes. AAO will not disclose your personal information to any external parties unless your consent has been obtained or it is required to do so by law.
