Ms. Kitty Lun Kit-ying

Ms. Kitty Lun is currently Head of Creative Shop, Greater China, of Facebook. She graduated from the Department of Communication of Hong Kong Baptist College and obtained a Master’s degree in Advertising from Syracuse University in the US. After returning to Hong Kong, she embarked on an advertising career and assumed senior positions such as executive creative director and president at international agencies including Leo Burnett, McCann and Euro RSCG.

She was the Chief Executive Officer of an Asian women’s website miclub.com, Managing Director and Executive Creative Director of Arnold Worldwide, and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lowe China. Under her leadership, Lowe achieved tremendous business growth in the Mainland and Hong Kong and became the most awarded agency in China in 2014 and 2015.

Kitty Lun is highly recognised for her achievements in the advertising arena. In the 1990s, she was named Queen of Public Service Advertising in Hong Kong for producing the most public service advertisements, including the well-known Fight Youth Crime “No Take 2” and ICAC campaigns. In addition, she won the title of Top 10 Distinguished Advertising Women of the Year many times and received the 2005 New York Festivals Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2013, she was honoured by Advertising Age as one of the Women to Watch in Advertising in China. In 2014, Kitty together with her team scooped Cannes Lions Award as well as over 100 creative awards around the world with the “Human Traffic Sign” campaign, which according to the 2014-15 Gunn Report became the world’s most awarded campaign.

Kitty Lun’s outstanding performance was also acknowledged by her alma maters. In 2008, she was awarded the HKBU Distinguished Alumni Communicator Award (Public Relations, Advertising and Communication Category) and in 2015 she was named one of the 50 most accomplished alumni of S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications of Syracuse University.

Renowned for her creative work, Kitty Lun received multiple accolades in Hong Kong, Mainland China, Taiwan, Asia-Pacific and at international competitions. She frequently receives invitations to serve as juror or president of the jury of creative awards in Hong Kong, Mainland China, Taiwan, Singapore, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, United States and Canada. In addition, she hosted the Cannes Lions forum “Beyond Mad Man: Towards Gender Balance in Creative Roles” and was the Juror of the Press Category at Cannes Lions Festival. Kitty Lun also authored a book Advertising Without Lipstick which shares her philosophy and experience in advertising.
