Fun-filled Year of the Snake Spring Dinner
Event Information
The Club held its “Year of the Snake Spring Dinner” on 23 February 2013 at Regal Kowloon Hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui, which provided a good opportunity for alumni and guests to raise fund for the University and share joy of the Chinese New Year.
The Club was honoured to have the presence of President and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Albert S C Chan and Associate Vice-President Prof. Frank Fu at the event. In his remarks, President Chan shared the recent development of HKBU and thanked the Club for its effort in fund-raising and endeavours made to fight for the use of former Lee Wai Lee site.
The dinner was served with special appetisers, South African dried abalone and other delicious food and wines. The guests also enjoyed purchasing silk scarf and branded handbags on-the-spot. As a token of appreciation, the Club presented to every guest special souvenirs including book marks printed with President Chan’s poems, abalone sauce and stylish phone cases. Two students of Department of Music were also invited to perform Chinese music during the dinner.
Alumna Marianna Tsang, President of the Club, acknowledged in her speech that the dinner could not have been successful without the support of food and prize sponsors including Gourmet Orient Limited, Bon Bon Paradise, Art of Nature International Company and Homberto Arts & Lifestyle Limited. The event raised over HK$20,000 for the University.
