The music piece “Beautiful Clouds Chasing the Moon Rhapsody”, adapted from a renowned traditional music piece by alumnus Dr Mui Kwong-chiu (Communication), Chairman of Hong Kong Composers’ Guild, has been selected as one of the songs to be showcased at the “Hong Kong Contemporary Ethnic Orchestra Classic Music Works Tour in the Greater Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao”, presented by Hong Kong City Chinese Orchestra. Alumnus Dr Mui attended the kick-off ceremony of the Tour on 1 August. The Tour is supported by the China National Arts Fund 2023, with the first show to be launched in Hong Kong on 15 September, followed by three more shows in other cities of the Greater Bay Area (GBA). The Tour aims at promoting local Chinese music while facilitating exchanges on music between cities of the GBA.
