HKBU Alumni Association of Australia Organises “Tour to Waverton” and Tennis Day

HKBU Alumni Association of Australia organised a tour to Waverton of North Sydney on 29 October. The tour was attended by President Sidney Cheng (Communication), Vice-President Lawrence Chan (Communication) and his spouse, Peggy Chan (Secretarial Management) and her husband Andrew Chan, Henie Chu (Communication/Secretarial Management), Allan Chu (Accounting) and his spouse, Joe Ng (Communication), Peter Chu (Chemistry), and other friends of the Association.
Serving as the guide of the tour, alumnus Allan Chu led the participants visit various attractions in Waverton, including the Coal Loader Centre and Berrys Bay Lookout, so as to learn about the history of the area and at the same time, enjoy the magnificent view of the Sydney Harbour. The group went to a French bistro for lunch, thanks to the arrangement of alumnus Eddie Chu (Communication).
After lunch, a “Tennis Fun Day” was held at the clubhouse of the residence of alumni Eddie Chu and Henie Chu. The friendly tennis matches were joined by President Cheng, Eddie Chu and Henie Chu, Peggy Chan and Andrew Chan, Allan Chu and his wife. Outside the tennis court, alumna Peggy Chan served as commentator and further uplifted the atmosphere of the exciting game, while the audiences also cheered for the players. The fiercely-contended match ended in a tie of 2-2 and players were awarded with prizes for their excellent performance. The event has promoted the physical and mental health of alumni while they have strengthened their ties.
