Event Information

A team comprising 35 students and alumni from the HKBU Master of Business Administration (MBA) Programme achieved remarkable results at the 10th Asia-Pacific Business School Desert Challenge, winning the highest group honour – Gold Sand Gull Award, and the second runner-up in Women’s Individual. This is the third consecutive time that the HKBU MBA team has clinched the Gold Sand Gull Award in this competition and is the first team ever granted the title of Traditional Top Team of the Desert Challenge by the organiser.

As an annual athletic and cultural event, the Asia-Pacific Business School Desert Challenge is exclusively organised for the MBA communities from top business schools across the Asia-Pacific region. This year, the competition was held from 1-4 May at the Tengger Desert of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, with around 4,000 contestants from 121 contesting business schools. Competing against strong rivals, the HKBU MBA team fully demonstrated their team spirit and reflected the University’s motto “Faith and Perseverance” in the competition, thereby scaling new heights at this year’s challenge.
