The HKBU Alumni Association of the Greater Bay Area Organises Online Financial Seminars for HKBU Students
Event Information
The GBAAA arranged three online seminars, respectively on 21 May, 28 May and 4 June. Participants of the seminars were HKBU students who had enrolled in the investment simulation competition that was co-organised by the GBAAA and Valuable Capital Limited. Alumnus Kent Tsui (Communication), President of HKBU Century Club and Mr Yu Yafei (Business Administration student), President of HKBU MBA (China) Alumni Association Shenzhen Chapter and Vice-president of the GBAAA, and alumnus Reason See (Business Administration) were respectively invited as guest speakers of the three seminars. Alumnus Kent Tsui, who studied Communication, shared with the audience about how he worked relentlessly in the 1980s to become a self-taught expert in international finance, and was among the first batch of Hong Kong people working in the international investment banks. He also shared how he offered courses in investment in Hong Kong. Mr Yu, on the other hand, shared his experience in private equity investment, venture capital and other related investment channels in Shenzhen; while alumnus Reason See shared his extensive experiences in fund management. The seminars provided excellent opportunities for participating students to acquire knowledge and insights in investment, as well as to understand better the development opportunities in the GBA.
