HKBU 17th Honorary University Fellowship Conferment Ceremony

Event Information

HKBU conferred Honorary University Fellowships on three distinguished persons at the 17th Honorary University Fellowship Conferment Ceremony on 23 September, in recognition of their significant contributions to society and staunch support for the University. The three recipients are Dr Tisa Ho Kar-kuan, Mr Edward Lui and Ms Yao Jue.

The Ceremony was officiated by Dr Clement Chen, Chairman of the Council and the Court of HUBU, Professor Alexander Wai, President and Vice-Chancellor of HKBU; and the senior management of the University. In his address, President Wai welcomed the three new Fellows joining the HKBU community and said that the honour serves to acknowledge the three recipients as well-respected and renowned leaders in society. With their passion, devotion and years of hard work, they have each achieved prominence in their respective fields, and their success and distinguished accomplishments are most impressive and well-recognised.

On behalf of the Honorary University Fellows, Ms Yao Jue delivered her Vote of Thanks for the honour bestowed. She thanked HKBU for conferring Honorary University Fellowships on them, and said they all felt honoured to be receiving this special recognition as Hong Kong celebrates the 25th Anniversary of its return to the motherland.
