HKBU Century Club Organises Launching Ceremony and Press Conference for “Art Concept Channel”

2021 marks the 65th anniversary of HKBU and 45th anniversary of HKBU Century Club. Riding on this special occasion, the newly established “Art Concept Channel” broadcast some of the cultural, educational and informational programmes produced by Art Concept Culture Institute in association with HKBU Century Club in the past years, with the hope to bring positive energy to society. The Launching Ceremony and Press Conference of the Channel was held on 29 December 2021 and attended by a number of honourable guests, including Dr Daniel Tse, President Emeritus and Honorary President of the Club, and his spouse Mrs Kitty Tse; The Hon Tommy Cheung, member of both the Executive and Legislative Councils of the HKSAR; alumni Professor Justin Chiu (Sociology; Business Administration); Katie Chan (Communication), Honorary President of Art Concept Culture Institute and Producer of the Art Concept Channel; Mr Raymond Young and Miss Michel Mak, Hosts of the programmes; alumni Tyrone Siu (History), President of HKBU Alumni Association; Dr Vincent Ho (Communication), Founding President of HKBU Alumni Association of the Greater Bay Area; Kent Tsui (Communication), President of the Club; Dr Marianna Tsang (Secretarial Management), Patron and Past President/Ex-officio Director of the Club; Ip Ka-po (Communication), Vice-President of the Club; Yoki Chan (Secretarial Management), Vice-President of the Club; Esther Wong (Geography), Patron and Vice-President of the Club; Jeanny Ng (Translation), Director of the Club; Professor Bernard Wu (Accounting), Director of the Club and Dr Melanie Lee, Director of Alumni Affairs.
At the invitation of alumnus Prof Justin Chiu, the advocator of the Channel, alumnus Ip Ka-po agreed to serve as adviser of the Channel. During the Launching Ceremony, alumna Katie Chan introduced the content of the Channel, saying that some 500 episodes of various programmes will be broadcast in four series, namely historical, cultural, lifestyle and medical. President Kent Tsui also mentioned that the Channel could help promote the image of HKBU to the community, which also echoes one of the objectives of the Century Club. The “Art Concept Channel” was officially launched on YouTube on 1 January 2022.
