The Seventh Distinguished Alumni Award Recipients Inspire Students and Alumni at Sharing Forum

On 15 June, the Seventh Distinguished Alumni Award (DAA) Sharing Forum was organised by Alumni Affairs Office on HKBU Campus. It was well-attended by around 100 students, alumni and guests in person and online. Graced by the presence of Chairman of the Council and the Court Dr. Clement Chen, Deputy Chairman Mr. Paul Poon, Treasurer Ms. Rosanna Choi, President Prof. Alexander Wai and other senior management of the University, the event was a great success providing opportunity for students and young alumni to be inspired by the DAA recipients’ insights and advice.
In his welcome remarks, Chairman Chen expressed his appreciation to the Award recipients for their unfailing support to the University and significant contributions to the society. He encouraged students and young alumni to learn from success of the recipients in achieving their goals. President Prof. Alexander Wai also shared with participants the recent research achievements and latest developments of the University.
At the Sharing Forum, the Award recipients Mr. Albert Au (Communication), Dr. Cathy Lui (Applied Biology), Mr. Louis Yan (Marketing) and Mr. William Yeung (History) shared with participants their fascinating career stories and insights on professional experiences, personal development and serving the community. The Sharing Forum was moderated by Mr. Andrew Lau, Part-time Lecturer of Department of Journalism while Dr. Jason Ho, Senior Service-Learning Consultant of the Centre for Innovative Service-Learning was the Master of Ceremony for this event.
