HKBU Century Club Annual General Meeting 2020 cum Gathering with President Chin

HKBU Century Club conducted its Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2020 online on 17 December 2020. During the AGM, Century Club President alumnus Kent Tsui (Communication) presented the President’s Report on the Club’s activities and achievements last year. He also expressed his appreciation to the Board of Directors, Patrons, the Honorary Auditor Patrick Wong C.P.A., and the HKBU Alumni Affairs Office for their valuable advice to, and unfailing support for, the Club in the past year.

After the presentation of the President’s Report, Chairman of Election Committee, alumnus Prof. James Tsien (Business Management), conducted the election of the new Board of Directors for the term of 2020 to 2022, and the following members were unanimously elected to the new Board of Directors.

Patrick Wong C.P.A. was reappointed as Honorary Auditor for the year ahead.

On behalf of the Club, President alumnus Kent Tsui welcomed alumna Elise Tse (Accounting), the new member of the Club, and presented her a membership pin.

The meeting was followed by an online gathering with President Prof. Roland Chin who is also the Honorary President of the Club. Members took the opportunity to bid farewell to Prof. Chin, who retired by the end of 2020. Apart from Prof. Chin, the gathering was graced by the presence of Vice-President (Teaching & Learning) Dr. Albert Chau and Director of Alumni Affairs Dr. Melanie Lee.

During the online gathering, President Chin shared with members the latest development of the University and his retirement plan. He also expressed his deep appreciation of the Club for the staunch support generously given to the University in the past years. The highlight of the gathering was the presentation of special gifts to Prof. Chin in appreciation of his visionary leadership and contributions to the University. Members also took the opportunity to wish him a happy retirement.
