Welcome Home Baptist Big Brothers And Sisters of 1961 Graduating Class

Event Information

After half a century, 15 alumni from the graduating class of 1961 travelled to Hong Kong from all over the world for a reunion at the campus down under the Lion Rock, recalling the good old days while witnessing the advancement of their beloved alma mater.

The returning alumni were Ms. Chan Shook-har (Mathematical Science/Mathematics), Mr. Chiu Ning (Civil Engineering), Mr. Benjamin Chiu Chun-bun (Civil Engineering), Mr. Chow Shu-chuen (Civil Engineering), Mr. Chung Tao-fun (Sociology), Mr. Michael Ho Shu-ching (Business Administration), Ms. Susanna Hon Wai-yue (Sociology), Mr. Hui Yau-kuen (Civil Engineering), Mr. Franklin Abraham Lau Tin-jer (Business Management), Mr. Lee Kun-tin (Civil Engineering), Ms. Lee Chung-mei (Mathematical Science/Mathematics), Mr. Ng Chan-tong (Civil Engineering), Mr. Siu Man-po (Civil Engineering), Ms. Woo May-wan (Mathematical Science/Mathematics) and Mr. David Yu Ting-kwok (Mathematical Science/Mathematics).

They were welcomed by senior management of the University at a lunch gathering and each of them was presented the Investiture Medal for Golden Graduation Anniversary and a reissue of the 1961 graduation book by Prof. Albert S C Chan, President and Vice-Chancellor. They also visited the Kowloon Tong and Shek Mun Campuses as well as the Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College in Zhuhai. They were pleased to see that their alma mater has now spread its wings and become a university of excellence extending across geographical frontiers.
