MBA (China) Alumni Association Celebrates 10th Anniversary of MBA Programme in China

Event Information

MBA (China) Alumni Association held a series of activities in celebration of the 55th Anniversary of HKBU cum 10th Anniversary of the MBA Programme. Over the decade, many of the 1,500 MBA alumni have excelled in their professions. The celebratory activities not only showcased the success of the Programme, teaching staff and alumni but also enhanced the sense of belonging among alumni.

The celebratory activities included a publication in collaboration with "Foreign Trade & Economy", a well-known magazine in Guangdong, interviews of Prof. Albert S C Chan, President and Vice-Chancellor of HKBU, Prof. Stephen Cheung Yan-leung, Dean of the School of Business, and Prof. Allan Chan Kit-kwong, Associate Dean of the School of Business, by "Foreign Trade & Economy", and a signature event "A Decade of MBA Programme in China cum School of Business Conferment of Honorary Professorship" held at the Crowne Plaza Guangzhou City Centre Hotel on 12 November 2011. More than 350 guests and alumni attended the event, including Prof. Cheng Si-wei (on whom an Honorary Professorship was conferred), former Vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, PRC, Prof. Albert S C Chan, President and Vice-Chancellor of HKBU, Mr. Andy Lee Shiu-chuen, Vice-President (Administration) and Secretary, Prof. Frank Fu Hoo-kin, Associate Vice-President, Prof. Edward Snape, Associate Vice-President, Prof. Stephen Cheung Yan-leung, Dean of the School of Business, Prof. Allan Chan Kit-kwong, Associate Dean of the School of Business, Mr. Luo Gang, President of the HKBU MBA (China) Alumni Association, and Ms. Melanie Lee Wai-yi, Director of Alumni Affairs.
