HKBU MBA (China) Alumni Join Hands in Combating Epidemic
Event Information
With the continuing spread of the novel coronavirus in the Hubei Province and other parts of the Mainland China, various personal protective equipment items were heavily sought after by hospitals and clinics in Wuhan and other major cities. In view of this, HKBU MBA (China) Alumni Association has mobilised 3,000 alumni to collect and donate surgical masks to the relevant authorities with a view to combating the spread of the novel coronavirus epidemic. It was encouraging to see that this meaningful initiative has gained wide support. On 1 February, the first batch of 12,000 surgical masks was collected and donated to Nanfang Hospital, which is affiliated to Southern Medical University, for its medical support team who were going to Huoshenshan Hospital of Wuhan to join the fight against the contagious disease. The second batch of 5,000 face masks was donated to frontline workers of various ministries to help them with their epidemic prevention work.
