Cantonese Opera in Celebration of 55th Anniversary of HKBU
Event Information
To celebrate the 55th anniversary of HKBU and to promote the culture of Cantonese Opera, the HKBU Alumni Association of Southern California (SCAA) proudly presented a Cantonese Opera on 29 October 2011 at AC Hall. With the support of the Alumni Affairs Office, Alumna Ms. Susanna Ma Yi-ping, President of SCAA, led a group of alumni and friends in performing a total of six pieces. The performance was well received by the audience. Two former SCCA Presidents, Alumnus Mr. John Ho Yue-fai and Alumnus Mr. Ken Chan Siu-hong, flew down from Los Angeles to support the event and the University.
HKBU alumni residing overseas are always supportive of their alma mate. The opera has once again showcased the multi-faceted talents of HKBU alumni that have been nurtured through Whole Person Education.
