President Chin Hosts a Dinner for Alumni and Eminent Community Leaders

On 7 January 2020, President Prof. Roland Chin hosted a dinner at his residence, Shiu Pong Hall, for alumni and eminent community leaders. Attending guests included Dr. Doreen Chan, member of Board of Directors, Haven of Hope Christian Service; Mrs. Priyanka Chauhan, Consul General of India to Hong Kong and Macao; Mr. Aleksander Dańda, Consul General of the Republic of Poland in Hong Kong and Macao; The Hon. Mr. Justice Jonathan Harris of the Court of First Instance of the High Court of the HKSAR and his spouse Ms. Yuka Shigetomi, Partner of Ernst & Young; The Hon. Mr. James Henry Lau, Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury and his spouse Mrs. Stella Lau Kun Lai-kuen, Headmistress of Diocesan Girls' School; Alumnus Leung Ka-wing, Director of Broadcasting of RTHK (Radio Television Hong Kong); Ms. Anna Wu Hung-yuk, Chairperson of Hong Kong Competition Commission and her spouse Prof. Frank Ching, Adjunct Associate Professor, Department of Management, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
At the dinner, President Chin shared with the guests the development of HKBU. All of the guests were keen on exchanging views on various topics relating to the University. All guests were also presented a health soup pack and a herbal tea pack from the HKBU-Jockey Club Chinese Medicine Disease Prevention and Health Management Centre, and a “Health Mottoes Daily Calendar 2020” from the School of Chinese Medicine, HKBU, as souvenir.
