Distinguished Alumni from Social Services Sector Share Experience at 55th Anniversary Alumni Sharing Forum

HKBU held the fourth Alumni Sharing Forum on 15 September 2011 in celebration of its 55th Anniversary. Three distinguished alumni from the social services sector shared their experiences and affection with more than 200 guests, alumni, staff and students.

The three alumni from the Department of Social Work were Mr. Stephen Yau How-boa, Chief Executive of International Social Service Hong Kong Branch; Mr. Kwok Wai-keung, General Manager (Family and Community Core Business) of Hong Kong Christian Service; and Ms. Winnie Ying Fung-sau, Secretary General of Community Investment & Inclusion Fund under the Labour and Welfare Bureau.

Having worked in the social services sector for nearly 40 years, Mr. Stephen Yau How-boa said his enthusiasm for helping the underprivileged supported him all along. As a Christian, Mr. Kwok Wai-keung said he has always been grateful for having the chance to serve others. Ms. Winnie Ying Fung-sau shared her frontline experiences especially in helping adolescents.
