HKBU Council and Court Dinner in honour of Retired and New Members
Event Information
The University hosted its Council and Court Dinner on 26 February to bid farewell to the retired Chairman and members of the Council and the Court, as well as to welcome the new Chairman and members to HKBU.
In appreciation of their tremendous contributions to the University, Dr. Clement Chen, the new Chairman of the Council and the Court, and Professor Roland Chin, President and Vice-Chancellor, presented mementoes to the former Chairman Mr. Cheng Yan-kee who has served the University for 20 years, and other retired Council members including Ms. Mabel Chan, Ms. Scarlett Pong and Ms. Karen Tang.
In the remarks, President Chin, on behalf of the University, welcomed the newly appointed Chairman Dr. Clement Chen, Council members Mr. Chui Wing-on, Rev. Dr. Lo Hing-choi, Ms. So Ching and Ms. Connie Wong, as well as Court member Rev. Lam Hoi-sing.
At the dinner, Professor Ricky Wong, Associate Vice-President (Teaching and Learning) cum Academic Registrar, and Mr. James Lee and Mr. Jack Lee, students of the Department of Music, delivered wonderful singing and musical performances to pay tribute to all members.
