HKBU Century Club Sponsors Change-Makers Programme 2018-19
Event Information
HKBU Century Club sponsored the Change-Makers Programme 2018-19 organised by Leadership Qualities Centre of Office of Student Affairs. With an aim of nurturing students to become responsible global citizens, the Programme selected “Animal Welfare” as the global issue for members to study this year.
With the support of the Club, 16 members of the Programme went for a Malaysia Service Trip to serve different animals in the Noah's Ark Natural Animal Shelter in January 2019. They also organised a series of advocacy events on HKBU campus after the trip.
On 28 March, Secretary of the Club alumna Dr. Helen Kwok was invited to be the guest of honour of “Paws Men x Change-Makers Programme Malaysia Trip Sharing” which is one of the key advocacy activities. During the event, actress Miss Charlie On and producer Mr. Ryan Chan of the movie “Paws Men” shared about the situation of rescuing animals in Hong Kong. Members of the Programme also shared their animal-serving experience in Malaysia.
For the betterment and sustainable growth of the University, HKBU Century Club has established the Century Club Sponsorship Scheme to provide financial support to academic or student development projects annually. For more information, please click here.
