Event Information

On 13 November, HKBU conferred Honorary Doctoral degrees on Prof. Donal D. C. Bradley, Mrs. Pamela Chan Wong-shui, Dr. William Fung Kwok-lun, Prof. William C. Kirby, Prof. Mo Yan at the 58th Commencement and Honorary Doctoral Degrees Conferment Ceremony in recognition of their outstanding achievements in their fields and remarkable contributions to society.

The University hosted its Council Dinner in honour of Honorary Doctorate Recipients after the Conferment Ceremony in the afternoon. Chairman of the Council and the Court Mr. Cheng Yan-kee conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to the Honorary Doctorate Recipients and warmly welcomed the guests. He also said that the Honorary Doctorate Recipients were shining role models and source of inspiration to the University and its students.

The finale of the evening was a delightful musical performance by Mr. Stephen Wong, Lecturer of Department of Music and alumnus Christopher Leung (Music). Their performance was captivating and brought all guests a very enjoyable night.
