Social Work Alumni celebrate 60th anniversary of HKBU and Department of Social Work

Over 200 Social Work students and alumni from six generation attended “HKBU 60th Anniversary – Social Work Alumni Reunion Dinner” on 28 October. The dinner was jointly organised by Social Work Alumni Association, Social Work Learning and Exchange Foundation Fund, Department of Social Work, Social Work Society and Alumni Affairs Office.
Being one of the earliest established academic departments, Department of Social Work grew together with HKBU in the past 60 years. After making his welcoming remarks, President Chin led the cake-cutting and toasting ceremony with HKBU senior management and guests. Dr. Chau also shared his plan to improve the Service Learning opportunities for students and he called for the support of alumni to be an integral part of this meaningful project.
