The thank you dinner of HKBU 60th Anniversary "We are BUddies" Alumni Show was held at The Hong Kong Country Club on 23 February 2016 to show appreciation to the cast, crew and supporters, as well as to celebrate the success of the Show. Over 60 guests including members of the Organizing Committee, the cast and crew, senior management and friends of HKBU attended the dinner, at which video highlight and photos of the Show were shown to recall the happy reminiscences.

In his vote of thanks, Professor Roland Chin, President and Vice-Chancellor, said that he and most of the audience were touched by the Show as it visually presented a walk down memory lane of the important milestones of HKBU. He expressed deep gratitude to the cast and crew for contributing their talents and efforts for staging such a remarkable and memorable performance.

The evening was filled with fun, warmth and laughter. The three producers of the Show, Alumni Lawrence Cheng, Amen Ng and Patrick Siu, shared their fond memories and feelings about the Show. Alumni Simon Ngai, Leung Ka-kuen, Justin Chiu and Lawrence Cheng, who acted as the four Presidents in the Show, also shared their behind-the-scene stories. The alumni were thankful to HKBU for giving them a chance to join hands to celebrate the University’s diamond jubilee.

"We are BUddies" Alumni Show was successfully held on 30 January 2015 in celebration of the University’s 60th Anniversary. The Show was put on stage by over 100 celebrity and notable alumni from seven Faculties/Schools and across six generations. The Show prompted collective reminiscing of the important milestones of HKBU through a wide array of performances such as drama, orchestra, dance, singing, recitation and magic show.
