HKBU Council Dinner in honour of Honorary University Fellows 2015
Event Information
On 8 September 2015, the University conferred six Honorary University Fellowships on Dr. Merle A. Hinrich, Prof. Mayching Kao (in absentia), Mr. Lam Cheung-chuen, Mr. Herman T.W. Lau, Mrs. So Chau Yim-ping and Ms. Connie W.C. Wong in recognition of their outstanding contributions to society and in appreciation of their highly valued support to the University at the 60th Convocation and 10th Honorary University Fellowship Conferment Ceremony.
In the same evening, the HKBU Council Dinner in honour of Honorary University Fellows was held to celebrate their conferment. In his welcoming remarks, Chairman of the Council and the Court Mr. Cheng Yan-kee conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to the Honorary University Fellows and warmly welcomed the attending guests. He also introduced Prof. Roland T. Chin to all the guests at his first time attending the Council Dinner after he assumed office as the President and Vice-Chancellor on 1 September 2015.
