Three outstanding alumni from different government departments and appointment systems – Chief Leisure Manager (Recreation and Sport) of Home Affairs Bureau Mrs. Yolanda Tong Lee Yan-yan (Sociology/Physical Education), Head of Marketing Division of Intellectual Property Department Ms. Jenny Wong Siu-ling (Business Management) and Political Assistant to Secretary for Food and Health Ms. Rebecca Chan Hoi-yan (Communication), shared their joy, satisfaction and challenges in serving the public, followed by an interactive panel discussion led by alumnus Dr. Siu Yat-Ming, Part-time Lecturer of Department of Sociology.

Through the real cases in their careers, three alumni speakers shared their feelings in serving the public with commitment. Unforgettable to Mrs. Yolanda Tong was how she proposed and planned local mega sport events and promoted the benefits of physical activities to citizens with creativity. Seasoned communicator Ms. Rebecca Chan shared how she helped handle the crisis for the Bureau and mediate the tension with some stakeholders with her media skills.

During the panel discussion, three speakers answered various questions from the floor, including the skills for sitting the “Common Recruitment Examination”, the attitude to work with civil servants with years of seniority and so on.
