Sponsored by Hong Kong Baptist University Alumni Association and being an integral part of Homecoming Day 2014 themed “Show your energy, Buddies”, the HKBU Alumni Soccer-Seven was successfully held at Joint Sports Centre on 11 October 2014 (Saturday).  With a record-breaking of 17 teams participating in the Open and Advanced Category, the Soccer Match was filled with lots of fun, energy and sportsmanship.

Over 200 soccer players gathered at the soccer pitch to witness the souvenir presentation and kick-off ceremony which was officiated by President and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Albert S.C. Chan, Vice-President (Research and Development) Prof. Rick Wong, Associate Vice-Presidents Prof. Frank Fu and Prof. Ricky Wong and HKBU Alumni Association President alumnus Tyrone Siu.  An orange tee with the match logo was presented to members of the Organising Committee including alumni Jason Mok, Tim Leung, Roger Xue and Fong King-leung.

The players chanted “Show your energy, Buddies” for the Match together when a group photo was taken.  After rounds of intense competition, the trophies and medals sponsored by HKBU Alumni Association went to the following winning teams:

A prize presentation ceremony was held whereby President and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Albert S.C. Chan, Vice-President (Research and Development) Prof. Rick Wong and HKBU Alumni Association President alumnus Tyrone Siu presented the trophies and medals.
