HKBU Century Club Supports alma mater to Promote Junior Entrepreneurship and Sponsors the Junior World Entrepreneurship Forum Hong Kong 2014

Organised by Enactus of Hong Kong Baptist University and Alliance of University & College YMCAs and co-organised by Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) and Chinese YMCA of Hong Kong, the Junior World Entrepreneurship Forum Hong Kong 2014 (the Forum) was staged successfully on HKBU campus on 3-5 June 2014. Themed “Entrepreneurship 3.0: Unlimited Opportunities”, the Forum consisted of a series of activities including opening ceremony, mentoring workshops, panel discussion, pitch contest, award presentation ceremony which attracted more than 200 university students from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan to participate.
With the aim of supporting student activities of the alma mater, HKBU Century Club has sponsored the forum as well as helping secure other sponsorship. The Club believes that the Forum, held for its first time in the region, could strengthen the reputation of HKBU in the local and international community.
The Club’s President Ms. Marianna Tsang Wai-chun was invited as one of the officiating guests at the opening ceremony of the Forum. Vice-President Mr. Kent Tsui Kwok-yue and Director Mr. Bernard Wu Tak-lung were invited as mentor of the workshop and guest speaker of the panel discussion respectively to share their business insights.
An award presentation ceremony for the two-day pitch contest was held on 5 June, whereby the Club’s President and Patron Ms. Marianna Tsang Wai-chun, Patron Mr. Dickson Shang Tat-yan, Patron Mr. Wong Nga-chung, Vice-President Mr. Kent Tsui Kwok-yue and Director Ms. Agnes Wong Lai-chun presented prizes to the winning teams.
