HKBU Class Representatives Display Spirit of Unity and Care

Event Information

About 50 Class Representatives of 2014 attended the “Class Representative Welcome Lunch” on 20 March 2014, whereby they vowed to fulfill their mission in the pledging ceremony led by Associate Vice-President Prof. Frank Fu, with the presence of President and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Albert S. C. Chan, as well as some Programme Directors and representatives from various academic departments. Each Class Representative was also presented a Certificate of Appointment.

In his opening remarks, President Chan acknowledged the important role of Class Representatives in building sustainable relationship between alumni and the University. He also thanked Class Representatives for their time and effort in serving the University. Director of Alumni Affairs Dr. Melanie Lee further elaborated the details of the scheme to the newly designated Class Representatives.

Class Representative Scheme was an initiative kicked off by the Alumni Affairs Office in 2012 with the aim of deepening ties with alumni-to-be. Class Representatives comprise undergraduate final year students nominated by schools or faculties, chairpersons of academic societies and executive members of Student Union.
